The Morris dancing

This dance dates back to 1680. Their strange function is to accompany the virgin during the processions. In the whole of Europe apart from Solsona, this only happens in Cardona and in Italy in the town of Mistretta.

The group of dancers were always young boys until 1998 when girls began to be allowed to dance to evolve with the times.

It is one of the elements that has been the most constant and that its characteristics  and the costumes have been kept very close to the original ones.
