The little horses

The first reference of the little horses dates back to 1692, when they arrived together with the dragon. Like in many other places in Catalonia they are linked with the battles between the Moors and the Christians and they represent the domination of the knighthood.

Their role in the celebration is to accompany the authorities on the parades and they take part in the marching around the streets and perform a dance on the main square.
